Slo’ Motion BBQ Shipping Policy
Slo’ Motion BBQ is dedicated to delivering authentic Wisconsin barbecue, sauces, seasonings, and apparel with care and efficiency. This Shipping Policy outlines the terms for shipping food, seasonings, sauces, apparel, and related products. Catering services are subject to separate delivery terms (see Section 3). 1. Food, Seasonings, and Sauces
Shipping Methods
- Standard Ground Shipping: Delivery typically takes 5–7 business days within the contiguous United States, depending on your location. Transit times may vary due to carrier delays or external factors (e.g., weather, holidays).

Expedited Shipping:
- 2nd Day Air: Available for an additional fee, typically delivering within 2 business days.
- Next Day Air: Available for an additional fee, typically delivering within 1 business day.
- Contact orders@slomotionbbq.com to request expedited shipping eligibility and receive a quote prior to shipment.
- Free Shipping: Free Standard Ground Shipping is offered on eligible orders within the contiguous United States. Exclusions apply (e.g., expedited shipping, bulk orders).
Regional Shipping
- Alaska and Hawaii: Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on weight, distance, and carrier fees. Free shipping does not apply.
- International Shipping: Limited international shipping is available. Contact orders@slomotionbbq.com for availability and rates.
Perishable Item Handling
- All meat is freshly prepared and properly cooled for safe shipping. Depending on the season or order requirements, meat may be frozen prior to shipment to ensure quality.
- Perishable items are packaged with appropriate insulation and ice packs to maintain freshness. Follow storage instructions upon receipt to ensure safety.
Processing Time
- Orders require 3–5 business days for processing before shipping. If an item is unavailable, our customer service team will contact you within 2 business days to discuss substitution or back-order options.
Damaged or Incorrect Items
- If you receive a damaged or incorrect item, contact us within 7 days of delivery at orders@slomotionbbq.com with:
- Your order number.
- Photos of the damaged or incorrect item and packaging.
- “Damaged Order” or “Wrong Order” in the email subject line.
- We will issue a refund or replacement at no additional cost, subject to verification. Do not return items without authorization. For carrier-related damage, file a claim with the carrier (e.g., USPS, UPS) and retain all packaging for inspection. Notify us to assist with the claim process.
2. Apparel and Merchandise

- Standard Ground Shipping: Delivery takes 5–7 business days within the contiguous United States after fulfillment (3–7 business days). Transit times may vary due to carrier delays.
- Expedited Shipping: 2nd Day Air or Next Day Air options are available for an additional fee. Contact orders@slomotionbbq.com for eligibility and quotes.
- Free Shipping: Free Standard Ground Shipping applies to eligible apparel orders within the contiguous United States.

Damaged or Incorrect Items

- Photos of the damaged, incorrect, or mislabeled item.

3. Catering Services
Delivery Terms

Full-Service Catering:
- No delivery fee applies for events within 25 miles of our Sussex, WI, base. Beyond 25 miles, a $6 per mile fee is charged.
- Delivery includes setup and coordination as outlined in the catering contract.

Food Trailer Catering:
- No delivery fee applies within 25 miles of Sussex, WI. Beyond 25 miles, a $6 per mile fee is charged.
- Hosts must provide adequate space (50 ft long by 10 ft wide, flat solid surface), parking access, and power (if required). Slo’ Motion BBQ is not responsible for property damage based on Host-provided parking recommendations.
- Perishable Handling: Catering food is prepared fresh and transported under strict safety protocols to ensure quality and compliance with Wisconsin health regulations.
Cancellations and Delivery Issues
- If an event is canceled after food preparation begins (e.g., due to weather or venue issues), delivery fees are non-refundable. See our Return and Refund Policy for details.
- For delivery issues (e.g., incorrect or damaged food), contact orders@slomotionbbq.com within 24 hours of the event with details and photos. We will issue a partial refund or credit, at our discretion.
4. General Shipping Terms
- Tracking: A tracking link is provided via email upon shipment. Contact orders@slomotionbbq.com for tracking assistance.

Delivery Issues: If your order hasn’t arrived:
- Verify the shipping address in your confirmation email.
- Check with your local post office or neighbors for misplaced packages.
- Contact orders@slomotionbbq.com with your order number if the issue persists. If the address was incorrect, replacement orders are shipped at the customer’s cost.
- Carrier Delays: Slo’ Motion BBQ is not responsible for delays caused by carriers, weather, or other external factors, but we will assist in resolving issues.
- Policy Changes: We may update this policy, with changes posted on slomotionbbq.com/shipping. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
